Anti Ageing Treatments

At Kelly George Aesthetics we offer a wide range of medical grade anti-ageing treatments to ensure you look your best at any age.

Anti-wrinkle injections are a quick and effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A few tiny injections relax the muscles responsible for the formation of lines, both minimising existing wrinkles and preventing deeper, more permanent lines from appearing. At Kelly George Aesthetics our objective when treating clients with anti-wrinkle injections is to achieve a subtle, natural result.

What areas can be treated?

  • Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
  • Forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Bunny lines (wrinkles on the sides of the nose)
  • Upper lip wrinkles
  • Gummy smile (excessive show of gum above the teeth when smiling)
  • Excessive squareness of the jaw angle
  • Downturned mouth
  • Witchy chin
  • Vertical neck bands
  • Enhance shape of eyebrows

Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used for non-cosmetic purposes such as:

  • Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) – under arms, palms, feet, inner thigh
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Clenching and grinding of the teeth

A dermal filler is a smooth injectable gel that is placed at various depths below the skin’s surface to add volume and smooth lines. Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance already found within the skin that delivers nutrients and helps the skin retain moisture and softness. Dermal fillers are used to contour the shape of the face, replace volume (lost as a result of ageing) or to enhance particular features.

What areas can be treated?

  • Lips
  • Cheeks
  • Tear trough (bags, dark circles under the eyes)
  • Accordion lines (lines on the side of the face)
  • Marionette lines (lines that run down from the corners of the mouth)
  • Nasolabial folds (lines from the corner of the nose to the mouth)
  • Chin crease
  • Brow
  • Jaw Line (to minimise jowling)
  • Temples

How long will the appointment take?

After the initial consultation, treatment takes between 20 and 45 minutes depending on the areas being treated.

How long will the results last?

Results will last between 12 and 18 months depending on the area being treated.

What is the down time?

At Kelly George Aesthetics we use techniques that minimise the risk for bruising, however there is always the possibility of bruising and/or swelling to the area being treated with dermal filler. As a result, down time is generally minimal (1-2 days), however in some instances there may be bruising for up to 10 days.

PICO Genesis™ selectively shatters pigment and induces dermal disruption and remodeling for true skin revitalization in fewer than 3 sessions. PICO Genesis™ FX combines the 1064 nm wavelength with enlighten’s microlens array attachment to address acne scars, skin texture, and quality, and pores on all skin types.

What are the key benefits of Genesis?

  • Shatters pigment
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin texture improvement
  • Skin revitalisation

How long will the appointment take?

The treatment itself generally takes around 30 minutes depending on the areas being treated. If you would like to add topical numbing to your treatment it would take 45 minutes – 1 hour.

How many treatments will I need?

Improvement in the skin is seen with each treatment, but a series of treatments about 6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. The number of treatments required depends on the condition of your skin and the desired results. Within a week patients begin to see noticeable results. Within 2 to 3 months, when the greatest benefit is seen, individuals report fully refreshed skin that looks and feels more youthful.

What is the down time?

Typically, there is no down time with this treatment as you can wear makeup the very next day. On the day of treatment the skin is quite red and you can get some petechiae. However, sometimes with this treatment you can also get hives so we recommend doing it a couple weeks before any events.

Collagen Induction Therapy, also referred to as the Vampire Facial, is a treatment that stimulates collagen production via a fractional micro-needling pen device. The micro-needling pen creates ‘channels’ in the skin with a series of very fine needles. Once the tiny channels are created. The result of medical micro-needling treatments is fuller, tighter, younger-looking skin.

What are the key benefits of medical micro-needling with PRP?

  • Stimulates cellular regeneration and new tissue growth
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Adds volume
  • Minimizes scarring or stretch marks

What is Collagen Induction Therapy and why do we include it in this treatment?

When you sustain an injury to tissue (skin or muscle) your body naturally releases platelets to the affected area, enhancing healing through the release of 8 potent growth factors. Collagen Induction Therapy during micro-needling behaves in the same manner. It stimulates the cells responsible for the production of collagen. As a result it accelerates healing time; adds volume to the skin, due to increased collagen; and enhances the overall result.

How is Collagen Induction Therapy performed?

A small sample of blood is obtained from the patient (about the same amount that would be drawn for a lab test). The blood is spun at a very rapid rate in a centrifuge to separate it from the other components of the
blood. The resulting natural, yellow serum is then deposited back into the dermal layer of the skin during and following the use of a micro-needling device.

How long will the appointment take?

At Kelly George Aesthetics we use a specially formulated topical anaesthetic cream to ensure your comfort. Numbing takes around 20 minutes and the procedure itself takes another 30 minutes. We recommend allowing an hour for your appointment.

How many treatments will I need?

Improvement in the skin is seen with each treatment, but a series of treatments about a month apart is recommended for optimal results. The number of treatments required depends on the condition of your skin and the desired results. Within a few days patients begin to see noticeable results. Within 2 to 3 months, when the greatest benefit is seen, individuals report fully refreshed skin that looks and feels more youthful.

How long do the results last?

Results last up to 2 years post treatment, depending on the individual. We recommend 1-2 treatments per year following the initial series of treatments to maintain your results.

What is the down time?

Typically, 1-2 days down time is sufficient. The skin may appear swollen and red (similar to a bad sunburn). There is also the potential for bruising. Patient’s will experience 3-4 days of what we call the ‘sandpaper’ phase. This is the result of the skin renewal process, and while the skin feels very rough, it is generally not visible. Most patients find a mineral powder makeup is suitable coverage to resume their normal day to day activities after the day of the treatment.

Medical-grade chemical peeling is a safe procedure in which an active solution is applied causing shedding of the damaged top layers of skin. This stimulates new cell growth and collagen production. The result is instantly younger looking skin. At Kelly George Aesthetics we use the Jan Marini Skin Research range of medical-grade peels to target:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne and scarring
  • Sun damage and pigmentation
  • Dry lack-lustre skin
  • Enlarged pores
  • Uneven skin tone

How long will the appointment take?

The peels take between 30 – 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Typically, we recommend between 3 – 6. The number of treatments required is determined by the overall quality of the skin.

What is the down time?

The depth of the peel will determine the down-time. We offer a wide range of peels from mild, with zero downtime; to more intensive clinical peels with up to 7 days downtime. The table below provides a brief overview of the peels we offer, what skin condition is targeted, and the respective down-time associated with each peel.

Everybody wants a brighter, whiter smile! Our cosmetic teeth whitening options are among the best available in Australia today and are the perfect accompaniment to our other anti-ageing treatments. Our Smile Labs Teeth Whitening system produces maximum results in less than one hour. It works by using a laser accelerator lamp to activate the whitening gel which rapidly oxidizes the pigment of the teeth removing discolouration. The result is an improvement of five to fourteen shades on untreated teeth in just one treatment session.

How Much Whiter Can my Teeth Be?

Tests show that, after our treatment, teeth score from 2 – 14 shades lighter on the teeth shade scale and are visibly whiter. Individual results will depend on how discoloured the teeth were originally, however the end result will be whiter, shinier teeth.

is It Safe?

Yes, scientific studies have shown that using Hydrogen Peroxide to whiten teeth is both very effective and very safe. The dental industry has used it in teeth whitening for over twenty years. Our specifically created gel does not change or damage the structure of teeth, there is no harm done to the enamel, dentine or the teeth at all; it merely makes teeth whiter and brighter.

How Long Will The Whittening Last?

This varies from person to person and depends on your diet, but the effects should usually last from 6 months to a year, in some cases the effects last longer.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?

Each session cycle takes 15 minutes and up to 2 or more cycles can be requested to get the best effect. It is that simple!

Is The Treatment Suitable for Everyone?

This treatment delivers exceptional results to people whose teeth have been stained by smoking or by substances like coffee, tea, or cola drinks. However pregnant women, young children, and customers with periodontal disease are discouraged from undergoing this procedure.

Will It Whiten my Crowns or Veneers?

Any whitening treatment will only ever bring teeth that are crowns, veneers, fillings, plates, bonded etc, back to the original colour they were, when the work was done by your dentist. However, your teeth will not only be whiter after a Smile Labs ‘whitening’, but also lighter and brighter when the stains are removed.

The specially formulate gel, that the American company has created and refined over nearly 8 years, does not damage the bonding, caps, veneers, plates, porcelain etc, and is exceptionally effective, with all of the teeth looking great on completion.

Does It Hurt?

The vast majority of customers experience no pain or discomfort. In extremely rare cases, some slight discomfort can arise, which is easily remedied with over the counter medication. In the very unusual instance of sensitivity, we recommend Difflam Mouth Gel, which is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, and it can be put on both the teeth and the gums.
